Surface Go 2 | Slight improvements

Microsoft has updated the Surface Go lineup. The Go 2 gets a larger 10.5″ display and a slightly more powerful Intel Core m3 option. And, that’s about it. The 400$ base model is still underpowered and has only 64GB of slow eMMC storage, with the side effect of great battery life. By the time you add the type cover and pen, you’re well over 600$. And if you want 8GB of RAM, 128GB flash storage, the must-have Core m3 processor and LTE connectivity, you’re at $730. And where are the table-optimized apps on Windows?

A disappointing update to a great concept. The pricing still needs to be lower, or the base model equipped with better specifications. Otherwise, getting an iPad or iPad Pro with type covers and a pen is a much better experience, due to the faster processors and tablet-optimized apps. Get an iPad over this tiny laptop pretending to be a tablet.
