Twitter leaker Jon Prosser has given us more information regarding the much rumored “modular” Apple Wireless over-ear headphones. He says it will be under the AirPods branding, and be called the AirPods Studio. Codenamed B515, the product is set to cost $349.
Earlier leaks suggested that this over-ear product would launch at WWDC, along with AirTags on 22nd June. There is supposed to be a magnetic modular system, which will allow for interchangeable ear and headband padding. This aspect could be a move to make them more customizable like the Apple Watch. There are also two rumored versions, one fitness oriented and one with more premium materials.
If the leaks are true, Apple would very well be pushing over more people into the AirPods brand before eventually killing off Beats.
