Rumors of Apple making an AR Glasses/Goggles have been circulating around for more than a year now, with little to no concrete information available. Recently, both Analyst Ming Chi Kuo and Jon Prosser have come out with release windows for the product – although both of them have different opinions. Kuo says the Glasses are going to launch at 2022 the earliest, while Prosser says March-June 2021.
Apparently, Prosser has seen the product too. Quoting it as “Sleek as hell”, he has video footage of the Glasses too, which he might show to the world soon. He also mentions that he’ll show “Starboard”, the UI designed for the Glasses. This increases the legitimacy of the leak, as the iOS Homescreen is called “Springboard”.
One’s an industry analyst, and the other has reliable sources with a great track record of accurate leaks. Who to believe is upto you, but if Prosser shows the video soon, the Glasses are probably going to be released earlier in his time window. Let’s wait and watch.
TL,DR: The Apple AR Glasses leaks have begun, with potential dates revealed and actual product details coming soon.
