OnePlus Nord – New budget king?

After lots of leaks and teasers, OnePlus has officially unveiled the Nord. It’s not a flagship killer like it’s predecessors, however, it might be the perfect recipe for a mid-ranger phone that delivers a serious value for money when compared against the Galaxy A51 and other smartphones in this price segment.

The phone shares a lot of DNA with its big brother, the OnePlus 8 which had been released a couple of months back. It’s still got a 1080p OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Sub-6GHz 5G, Warp Charge 30T fast charging, and the same 48-megapixel main camera sensor as the OnePlus 8. There are few compromises that have been made to achieve this price range, the most important of which is that the Nord is powered by a slower Snapdragon 765G processor, but in a lot of other cases, the compromises are small.

The OnePlus Nord is available in Blue Marble & Gray Onyx and sales start on 4th August on amazon.in. The different variants with pricing in India is given below.

6+64GB: ₹24,999 (September, in Gray)

8+128GB: ₹27,999

12+256GB: ₹29,999

There’s a lot more to cover about this device, as specs to tell the full story. Luckily for us, our editor Aditya has ordered the device, so stay tuned for his impressions and in-depth review coming soon.
