We finally have our eyes upon Google’s 2020 flagship drive lineups with the announcement of Pixel 4a and Pixel 5. Pixel 4a seems to target the midrange territory while pixel 5 has a high standard. This year has a revived straight-forward lineup compared to other selection of flagships and mid-ranger from competitors.
The 4A 5G is not just a 4A with a higher bandwidth modem. Both the phones (4 & 4A) have some key distinct features. This makes 4A 5G more comparable to the 5 and leaves the budget territory.
The 4A 5G has a 6.2-inch OLED display compared to the 6-inch OLED display which the 5 dons. However, the 5 has 90Hz refresh rate display while 4A 5G has a 60Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 5 also has a slighter advantage in battery capacity with a higher difference of 195mAh. All camera hardware is identical with a 12.2-megapixel dual camera, 8-megapixel Front camera and a 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor. Both share the same camera modes such as Night Sight, Portrait Light ,Cinematic Pan, Live HDR+.The 4A 5G variant has a headphone jack( personally love seeing it!).One drawback of the 4A 5G is it does not support Wireless Charging and no official IP ratings for water resistance. Both variants come with a 8GB ram and 128GG storage options. The 5 and 4A 5G will come pre-installed with Android 11 compared to the 4 which comes with Android 10.
The Pixel 5 is available in Green and Black variations priced at $699 while, The Pixel 4A 5G is available in White and Black variants priced at $499.
